Wexford Athletics selection for the Mr Oil Athlete of the Month is Aoife Rochford, Bree Ac.  Aoife represented Ireland in the Celtic Games on the Girls U18 Relay team.  A worthy winner, one of Irelands up and coming young sprinters.

Wexford Athletics Athlete of the month for July 2016 is Marguerite Furlong Adamstown AC, Marguerite was selected by Wexford Athletics for her success in the U17 Girls AllIreland track & field,  Marguerite won u17 Girls Discus, 2nd in U17 Girls Shot Putt and went on to represent Ireland in the Celtic Games.  Well done Marguerite

Mr Oil Athlete of the Month October 2015 is Aidan Shannon United Striders AC.  Aidan won U12 Boys Leinster Cross Country Championships in October and will represent his club and county in the National Cross Country Championships in November.

Ger Maloney St Pauls Ac, Kilrane is the winner of the Wexford Athletics Athlete of the month for September, sponsored by Mr Oil.  Ger represented Ireland in World Masters Mountain Running Championships held in Wales.  He finished 3rd in the Over 55s and was on the Irish team winning team that took gold.  Well done Ger.

Mr Oil Athlete of the Month for August – Billy Harper SBR AC, Billy was 2nd in the National Half Marathon Over 70’s – Billy will be competing in his 36th Dublin City Marathon this October, he has never missed one on since it started in 1980, what an achievement.
